Welcome to the Lagorai and Tesino

The Lagorai Cima d'Asta group of mountains are home to some of the wildest and most unspoilt scenery in Trentino. This is particularly true of the southern flanks, which hosting no major ski resort have retained an untamed natural environment, and is the perfect playground for ski mountaineers and all wilderness lovers.
This year's novelty for Ski Team Lagorai, the organisers of the Lagorai Cima d'Asta Ski-Mountaineering Race, is the introduction of an ISMF World Cup Sprint Race, to take place at Passo Brocon. Obviously we are proud to be hosting two World Cup events, and for all the organisers and volunteers this is an added stimulus to do our best.
Everyone in the world of competitive ski-mountaineering is familiar with the classic Lagorai Cima d'Asta Ski-Mountaineering Race, remarkable for the beauty of the surrounding scenery and the technical characteristics of the route. The fact that 2012 will be the 22nd edition goes to show the popularity of this race, every year seeing an increase in the number of participants, a race that is fuelled by the volunteers who organise, assist and line the route – so to all those involved and who have taken part - past and present we say a big THANKYOU!
